Hasselman Nurseries Ltd. was established in 1952 by Peter Hasselman with the help of his family.
The company was located in the Hamlet of Sherkston.
The company imported saleable plants, as well as liner plants from Holland.
A plant nursery was started which, over the years, grew to about 75+ acres in nursery stock.
Hasselman Nurseries Ltd. supplied the retail and wholesale market and also installed plants for private home owners.
As time went on, the wholesale division was phased out and the company concentrated on retail and landscaping.
In 1997, the company added another store on its present location along Hwy #3 in Ridgeway.
The name was changed to Hasselman Landscaping & Garden Centre, to better reflect its present position in the market place.
In 2003 the original location in Sherkston was phased out.

Hasselman Nurseries Ltd. has been in business for over 58 years and has enjoyed many generational as well as many new customers.
The company’s motto: “to have a quality product, do quality work, and provide excellent service” still stands today.
